Lost in the multitude of offensive fireworks the Chiefs offense provided Sunday as the team routed Arizona 44-21 was Patrick Mahomes taped left wrist. The injury occurred after his first touchdown pass as the former NFL and Super Bowl MVP seemed to fall on his left wrist after the throw.
Mahomes quickly had the wrist taped for the remainder of the game and it seemed to be a non-issue but after Cowboys QB Dak Prescott found out he would be out of action for several weeks after suffering a broken hand, many were concerned.
Chiefs fans can exhale a little bit now knowing that the MRI on Mahomes’ left wrist came back negative. The Chiefs have a quick turnaround as they will face divisional foe Los Angeles on Thursday Night Football in front of a national TV audience on Amazon Prime.
