The Chiefs are now almost two weeks into training camp and the team have yet to see hold out Chris Jones arrive. Jones has been a part of two Super Bowl titles in Kansas City and is seeking a contract extension as his current deal is set to expire after the 2023 season.
Patrick Mahomes was asked about Jones after training camp on Wednesday and the two-time Super Bowl MVP says he has checked in on Jones. Mahomes went on to say “I hope we get him back as soon as possible.
The Chiefs will play its first preseason game on August 13th as they take on the Saints in New Orleans.
