The Chris Jones holdout is becoming more of a concern for Chiefs Kingdom with each passing day. Jones has already missed all of training camp and two preseason games and has indicated he may not join the team until week 8. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was asked about this situation on Wednesday and his comments were very telling.
“I know how much Chris loves the Chiefs. I just try to stay out of it and tell Chris I love him. We know he’s preparing himself. … I don’t think anyone expected him to be out this long. He’s a vital part of this organization.”
