A source close to the situation divulged that they believe that Mahomes is “definitely playing Sunday” following his limited participation in Wednesday’s practice. Of course, that could always change if there would happen to be any set backs as the week progresses.
Mahomes remains in concussion protocol but head coach Andy Reid says that Mahomes has “done well up to this point.” Mahomes was listed as a full participant on the Chiefs’ practice report on Wednesday. The team later changed his status to limited, however, saying it is not allowed to list him as full because he remains in the concussion protocol.
Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne handled quarterback duties for much of the second half of the Chiefs’ 22-17 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. Mahomes left the game with what many believed to be a concussion although that has never been confirmed by the Chiefs.
