According to sources, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will be available for action this Sunday when the Chiefs travel to Tennessee.
The Chiefs were told by outside doctors that Mahomes (kneecap) would have a 40 percent chance of reinjuring himself if he played within 21 days of his injury, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
Sunday will mark 24 days since Mahomes suffered the injury during a 30-6 win at Denver. Backup quarterback Matt Moore has started the last two games, going 1-1 during that stretch. Moore has thrown for 659 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions this season.
Mahomes has been a limited participant in practice since suffering the injury, but appears ready to return to action as the Chiefs take on the 4-5 Titans this Sunday in Nashville.
