Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals will attempt to knock off the Chiefs for the second time this season and for the fourth time overall. While KC has been the gold-standard in the AFC since Patrick Mahomes burst on the scene back in 2018, the Bengals could certainly stake claim to being the kings of the AFC if they get by the Chiefs once again.
First Things First and ardent Chiefs supporter Nick Wright tackled this subject on today’s show. Wright is of the belief the the AFC is cheering hard for the Bengals, seeing a future of hopelessness if KC gets back to another Super Bowl.
“The AFC has to be praying the Chiefs win this game,” Wright said. “If the Chiefs win this year, I don’t know what anyone’s going to do. The Bengals can reclaim the throne.”
