For the first time in history, Missouri (6-6) will meet Wake Forest on the gridiron as the schools will play in the 2022 Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, FL on December 23rd. Mizzou will look to secure its first bowl victory since the 2015 Citrus Bowl when the Tigers beat #25 Minnesota.

Wake Forest finished the season 7-5 after starting the season 6-1 but finished bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season. The Demon Deacons defeated Rutgers 38-10 in last year’s Gator Bowl while Missouri was upended by Army in the Armed Forces Bowl.

Mizzou became bowl eligible after beating rival Arkansas on Black Friday 29-27. After much deliberation, it appears Missouri preferred the Tampa location, weather, stadium and date (before Christmas) as the bowls were being put together.

Tickets to the game can be purchased for as little as $40. The game will take place at Raymond James Stadium at 6:30 on Friday, Decemeber 23rd.
