According to various news outlets including a tweet made by Salt Lake City sports writer Steve Luhm, former Oklahoma quarterback and offensive coordinator Josh Heupel will join the staff at Mizzou in the same role.
Heupel, 37, won a national championship while playing for Oklahoma in 2001 and went on to coach at OU from 2006-2014 (he was the offensive coordinator from 2011-2014). He spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Utah State.
Utah State offensive coordinator Josh Heupel is leaving for Missouri. More as the evening goes along.
