Mizzou appears to be getting a much needed shot in the arm to both its return game and backfield as former Oklahoma running back/kick returner Alex Ross has signed financial aid paperwork to enroll at Missouri this Summer.

NCAA FOOTBALL: OCT 31 Oklahoma at Kansas

Ross is a former 2nd team All-American for the Sooners as a kick returner and finished 3rd nationally in 2014 averaging over 31 yards per return. His presence at Mizzou will be much welcomed given the fact that the Tigers ranked 128th in kickoff returns in 2015.

In three years at Oklahoma, the 6’1, 227 pound Ross also rushed for 786 yards and 5 touchdowns and could give Mizzou a spark in the backfield as well, especially given that the Tigers only return one running back with game experience (Ish Witter).
