Justyn Ross was supposed to be an early round draft pick coming out of Clemson. However, being diagnosed with congenital fusion in his spine, a condition he was born with called Klippel-Feil syndrome, made Justyn’s journey more difficult. He was coming off a foot surgery in November of 2021 and fell to being an undrafted rookie free agent. Before training camp in 2022, Justyn had that surgery redone as it wasn’t responding the way he had hoped. Now, in 2023, Justyn is running hills and looks poised for a breakout season as he returns to form.

Andy Reid talked about a setback for Justyn Ross before training camp in ’22
“It was a little bit off of the surgery he had before. It wasn’t functioning quite the way he wanted. It was bothering him. It wasn’t working quite the way he wanted it, so they went in and re-did it. And we’re hoping this works out well.”
