Florida State QB and last years Heisman trophy winner, Jameis Winston, finds himself in the headlines often, but not all of it is due to his outstanding play on the field. Jameis has continually found himself in trouble off the field whether it be for stealing soda and crab legs to as serious as a sexual assault accusation that ultimately didn’t lead to criminal charges. Through all of the off field issues that Jameis has had you would hope that somewhere along the line he would grow up and learn what it is to be a mature young man, but it appears he still just doesn’t get it.
On September 16th, 2014 several students witnessed Jameis jumping up onto a table at the Florida State student union and yelling a sexually obscene phrase. Florida State Head Coach Jimbo Fisher announced that Jameis would be suspended for the first half of their upcoming game against Clemson this Saturday night. However, a few minutes ago the news broke that Jameis is being suspended for the entire game against Clemson. We can only hope that this punishment handed down to Jamies will finally be the wake-up call that he desperately needs.
