The Chiefs needed overtime but were finally able to overcome the Houston Texans on Sunday. The team turned in back-to-back subpar road performances, both of which resulted in victory. The national media is beginning to hammer the Chiefs for these close wins against inferior competition. After the game, Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders responded to a Tweet made by ESPN analyst Ryan Clark.

Clark’s Tweet eluded to the greatness of Patrick Mahomes and how he has to “fight like hell” to keep the team in contention. Saunders, either attempting to agree with Clark or responding sarcastically stated that Clark’s right and that “we suck” speaking of the defense.

Saunders has registered 2.5 sacks and 24 tackles on the season so far in 2022. The fourth year player out of Western Illinois had two tackles against the Texans as the defense once again struggled giving up 24 points to a team without it’s starting receivers and star rookie running back.
