The race for the NFL MVP seems to be down to just two players: Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. Mahomes has the Chiefs sitting at 10-3 and tied for the best record in the AFC while Hurts and the Eagles are 12-1. Mahomes has a 1,000 yard lead in passing yards and currently has 11 more touchdowns, but also has more turnovers on the season. Hurts has also added 10 rushing touchdowns for the surging Ealges.
National sports media pundit Nick Wright recently discussed the MVP matter on his podcast, “What’s Wright with Nick Wright?” Wright believes Mahomes should win the award despite Hurts currently being the favorite in Vegas.
“Of course the MVP race is tight.” Wright said. “Mahomes is going to throw for the most yards of anyone in football by a mile. Does anyone think Hurts is better than Mahomes?”
