Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchenโ€™s very public divorce was front and center in the news this past fall. Most assumed that it was Tomโ€™s unwillingness to retire from football and spend time with the family that was the root cause. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Gisele opened up about the divorce and denied that football was the reason.

โ€œThat takes years to happen,โ€ she said, adding that she was currently โ€œmourning the death of my dream.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s tough because you imagine your life was going to be a certain way, and you did everything you could, you know?โ€ she continued. โ€œYou give everything you got to achieve your dream. You give a hundred percent of yourself, and itโ€™s heartbreaking when it doesnโ€™t end up the way you hoped for, and worked for, but you can only do your part.โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s been said is one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Itโ€™s not so black and white,โ€ she said. โ€œSometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart. When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together.

โ€œAs time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make.โ€

Gisele even denied that sheโ€™s been dating family friend/trainer Joaquim Valente, despite the fact that the two have been seen in copious amount of photos together.

โ€œHeโ€™s our teacher and, most importantly, heโ€™s a person that I admire and that I trust,โ€ she said, adding that sheโ€™s also not involved with Bradyโ€™s billionaire buddy Jeffrey Soffer.
