Former Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid has been charged with a DWI two months after a crash that left a 5-year-old girl with a head injury. A DWI is considered a class-D felony and could carry with it a jail sentence of 1-7 years.

Britt Reid Charged

Reid, who formally was as outside linebackers coach on the Chiefs’ coaching staff Andy Reid’s coaching staff, allegedly crashed his truck into two cars on the shoulder of the road on Feb. 4 near the entrance ramp from Stadium Drive to 435.

The crash occurred near Arrowhead Stadium, and it is believed that Reid was likely drinking on the premises prior to the crash.
