The Chiefs were able to knock off the Cincinnati Bengals on the AFC Championship Game Sunday despite suffering several setbacks on the injury front. The team lost JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney, L’Jarius Sneed and Willie Gay during the course of the game. Gay left with a shoulder injury in the first half and did not return. He was replaced by Darius Harris who played well but the early speculation is that Gay could be ready to play in Super Bowl LVII.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, early tests on Gay’s shoulder were encouraging and he’s “optimistic” about playing in the Super Bowl in two weeks.
