Starcade: Missouri football is on quite a roll on the recruiting trail, what made Mizzou a good fit for you?
Woods: Mizzou is the place for me because it’s a place where I can build and become the best version of myself with the guidance from the older player to the coaches.
Starcade: You’re an Omaha guy, many saw you as a Husker or even a Sun Devil, was playing in the SEC important to you?
Woods: I actually wanted to go to Nebraska my whole life because my head coach for years. But no playing at a D1 College is important to me but the SEC does bring more opportunities to the table.
Starcade: Mizzou already has 6 4 star recruits on board, do you feel like you’re a guy that will be in other players ‘ ears trying to help recruit.
Woods: Definitely going to be in others’ ears about the ZOU. It’s a magical place and I believe in it.
Starcade: The new NIL rules have already shown huge results. Are you already thinking about building your brand at Mizzou?
Woods: Me and coach Erik Link had had a conversation about it but not into detail we have other things to worry about it, but from what I heard I’m going to build a successful one.
Starcade: talk to us about Eli Drinkwitz, what’s your relationship been like with him so far?
Woods: Our relationship is like those two best friends who have nothing in common but it works for them and only them. Those real moments, yeah OUR RELATIONSHIP IS GREAT.
Starcade: How excited are to to be committed before your senior year knowing you can focus on playing football this fall without distraction?
Woods: It’s amazing to know that I’m now committed and don’t really have to worry about the recruiting process. This whole experience is amazing and if a kid in the future is able to hop on this journey take advantage of everything they can it’s great.
