Jeromie Hill playing physical last night against Marshall

81 games last night meant there were lots of opportunities for players to have big games, and that is exactly what happened. Big player performances were happening everywhere, and we did out best to get the top 3 on here.

  • D’Angelo Russell ( Ohio State) – 33 points, 7 rebs, and 6 assts later, this young man found his way onto the SOTN list. He dominated the game in the Buckeyes 69-67 win on the road at Northwestern. Russel has been the man this year and leads his team in points, rebounds, and minutes played, and is second on the team in assists and steals per game. He is a do it all player, and is only a Freshman. Hopefully he sticks around for a few years at Ohio State. Check out this video of one of his passes last night:

  • Jeromie Hill (Texas San Antonio) – The Roadrunners senior forward had himself a dominating game in his teams big 82-68 win over Marshall. Hill had 36 pts, 8 rebs, 2 assts, and 1 stl on the night. Hill has had himself a nice senior season, averaging almost 17 points and 7 rebounds a game. The Roadrunners are continuing to get better each year, and Hill has been a big reason why.

Qualls shows lots of emotion.

  • Michael Qualls (Arkansas) – Arkansas showed, once again, last night that they are likely headed for the NCAA Tournament. Qualls was one of the big reason why as he had a stat line of 30 pts, 8 rebs, 3 assts, and 3 stls in his teams 93-91 win over Alabama. Scoring almost a third of your teams points is impressive enough, but he accounted for over a third with his assists he had. Qualls was also very active on defense, in a game where there was not a ton of it played.
