Since Tyreek Hill was traded to the Dolphins in March, the debate has raged on. Can the Chiefs offense be as successful without Tyreek in the fold? On Monday’s edition of ESPN’s “First Take,” Stephen A. Smith and Michael Irvin continued the five month old argument.

Now that we have two preseason games of context to look at and the Chiefs starting offense is now three-for-three on scoring touchdowns, Irvin is becoming a believer.

“Spreading this ball like Patrick Mahomes is doing right now is going to make them even MORE dangerous.” Irvin said during the segment. “Maybe not as explosive as they were with Tyreek Hill but certainly more dangerous and we’ll see the best Patrick Mahomes.”

Irvin’s co-host, Stephen A. Smith, disagreed vehemently by saying Tyreek Hill is “arguably the second best receiver in football” and even referred to Hill as a “freak.”
