The Kansas City Chiefs recently locked up Patrick Mahomes for the next 12 years and Chris Jones for the next 4 years. However, signing them both to big money deals may come at a cost down the road. We are still uncertain on what the salary cap will look like in 2021 and beyond because of the coronavirus. So, we thought it was important to look at the expiring contracts coming up in the future that the Chiefs will have to make decisions on. Most of us are familiar with who is on a one year deal, but 2022 is going to be a key year for the Chiefs. They will have to determine who they need to re-sign while also starting to look ahead now and having replacements waiting in the wings. Without any further ado, let’s look at the next three seasons and see whose contract will be expiring and when.
