Bradford appears to have an ACL tear and will miss the entire 2014 season.

A tweet by NFL insider Adam Shefter indicates that the season (and perhaps Rams career) of quarterback Sam Bradford will end following an ACL tear during Saturday night’s pre-season game against Cleveland.

Shefter tweeted the following on Sunday: “Despite Rams QB Sam Bradford thinking his ACL was intact from initial testing, there is real concern that it is not and it could be torn.” This will leave veteran Shaun Hill as the starter for the Rams going forward. This is a crushing blow to a team that appeared to be poised for a breakout season following a very good off-season and draft. Bradford missed 9 games in 2013 after suffering another ACL tear and the former number one overall draft pick’s future with the team is certainly in doubt.
