Although no formal announcement has been made by the University of Missouri, sources close to the situation can confirm that Barry Odom has been fired.
Odom went 25-25 in four years as coach of the Missouri Tigers, the school he played for from 1996-1999. Obviously, 2019 was a failure for the team in many ways, losing games to Wyoming and Vanderbilt while being non-competitive against Kentucky, Georgia and Florida.
The Tigers finished 6-6 despite returning a talented roster as well as grad-transfer QB Kelly Bryant. Odom only notched one victory over a ranked team during his time in Columbia, a 38-17 win over Florida in Gainesville in 2018.
