Stedman Bailey remains hospitalized after shooting

Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was involved in a shooting incident on Tuesday night, according to a release from the Miami Gardens Police Department in Florida. Bailey was reportedly sitting in a car with family, when someone pulled up and started shooting, via NFL Network.

Stedman Bailey was shot in the head twice. Bailey’s cousin was not so lucky, getting hit several times being left with life-threatening injuries. Bailey is still labeled as critical but stable and underwent an eight hour surgery on Wednesday. 

Below is the statement left by the St. Louis Rams' organization:

“We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more.”
