Well, we’ve now seen it all. On Monday, Jets corner Sauce Gardner responded to an interview that Patrick Mahomes gave that stated that the holding penalty called against Sauce late in the Chiefs/Jets game was legit. Gardner went down kind of a strange rabbit hole trying to state his case for why the play should not have resulted in a penalty.
Gardner then decided to double down on the craziness by saying that if he were a “Swiftie” then the ref would not have thrown a flag. All this after Fox rules analyst Dean Blandino stated that the flag against Gardner was warranted.
