It’s been a rather prolific partnership between Andy Reid and Travis Kelce. Reid took a chance on a kid from Cincinnati with a few red flags when he drafted Travis back in 2013. 10 years and two Super Bowls later, it’s easy to see that this relationship has been most fortuitous in every way possible.
Coach Reid was the very special guest on Wednesday’s New Heights Podcast with the brothers Kelce, two players that Andy drafted to separate organizations. Coach was pretty forthright when discussing drafting Travis and the difficulties of doing so early on.
“Cocky, cocky, he was cocky but I knew the roots,” Reid said. “For the first five years it was a war, the last five have been unbelievable.”
