The 2015 NFL draft will be filled with intrigue as we have two high profile quarterbacks and the rumors of Chip Kelly and the Eagles wanting to move up to draft Oregon QB Marcus Mariota. Here is our 2015 NFL Mock Draft:
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jameis Winston – QB Florida State
Winston was impressive during his interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine and showed off his footwork and arm talent.
2. Tennessee Titans
Marcus Mariota – QB Oregon
Mariota is a mature, fast, and athletic quarterback with an upside the Titans can’t pass up even though USC DE Leonard Williams is hard to pass up.
3. Jacksonville Jaguars
Leonard Willams – DE USC
The Jags need a game changer on defense and although Kevin White would be a sexy pick; Bradley and the Jags can’t pass up Williams falling in their lap.
4. Oakland Raiders
Kevin White – WR West Virginia
Kevin White is a tall, fast, athletic wide receiver with great play-making ability and the Raiders need weapons to help their young quarterback in Derek Carr.
5. Washington
Dante Fowler Jr. – OLB Florida
There is a need to replace Brian Orakpo as a pass rusher and Fowler is competitive and nasty at the point of attack with great pass rushing tools.
6. New York Jets
Trae Waynes – CB Michigan State
Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles loves to blitz and since Dee Milliner hasn’t turned out to be an elite corner they need help in the secondary. Also, it doesn’t help that the top 2 QB’s are already off the board.
7. Chicago Bears
Randy Gregory – OLB Nebraska
The Bears and Brandon Marshall are parting ways, but that defense was atrocious last season so pick any top defensive player here. We chose Randy Gregory.
8. Atlanta Falcons
Shane Ray – DE Mizzou
Shane Ray is a dynamic pass rusher and with Osi Umenyiora having seen better days, the Falcons are in desperate need of Ray’s talents.
9. New York Giants
D.J. Humphries – OT Florida
The Giants will go as far as Eli Manning can take them which means they need to keep him upright so he can get the ball to Cruz and ODB.
10. St. Louis Rams
Amari Cooper – WR Alabama
If the Rams are going to give Sam Bradford yet another chance then they need to give him a serious target which is exactly what Amari Cooper will be!
11. Minnesota Vikings
Brandon Scherff – OG Iowa
Whether it’s blocking for Adrian Peterson or whatever running back they go with they will need better play from the interior which is why Scherff is the man.
12. Cleveland Browns
Devante Parker – WR Louisville
Josh Gordon’s replacement.
13. New Orleans Saints
Vic Beasley – OLB Clemson
Vic Beasley bulked up and still had an impressive combine. He has the pass rushing ability the Saints and Rob Ryan are looking for.
14. Miami Dolphins
Landon Collins – SS Alabama
The Dolphins gave up too many big plays on the back end and Collins is a very instinctive player that should help that area of weakness from last season.
15. San Francisco 49ers
Danny Shelton – NT Washington
Athletic run stopper up front to take pressure of their line backing corps and Justin Smith.
16. Houston Texans
La’el Collins – OT LSU
Texans need toughness in the running game and with Derek Newton possibly leaving via free agency they could use a road-grater.
17. San Diego Chargers
Andrus Peat – OT Stanford
The Chargers line was decimated by injuries last season and it crushed their chances at making the playoffs. They need to protect Philip Rivers.
18. Kansas City Chiefs
Jaelen Strong – WR Arizona State
The Chiefs need a wide receiver almost as much as they need a franchise quarterback, but giving Alex Smith a stud receiver is like giving a blind man a new pair of glasses.
19. Cleveland Browns
Melvin Gordon – RB Wisconsin
Trent Richardson didn’t work out, but neither did Terrance West or Ben Tate. They need a run game they can count on and Gordon is it! Although, we understand if they don’t want to select another player with the last name Gordon.
20. Philadelphia Eagles
Jalen Collins – CB LSU
Dez Bryant, DeSean Jackson, Pierre Garcon, Odell Beckham Jr., and Victor Cruz are in the NFC East so you better come with some talented corners for opposition!
21. Cincinnati Bengals
Ereck Flowers – OT Miami
The Bengals have two dynamic running backs in Giovanni Bernard and Jeremy Hill as well as a stud wide receiver in A.J. Green, but Andy Dalton needs all the time he can get to process the defense and cut down on his costly mistakes.
22. Pittsburgh Steelers
Bud Dupree – OLB Kentucky
The Steelers missed on Jarvis Jones, but desperately need a pass rusher and Dupree has intriguing skills the Steelers will have to mold and develop.
23. Detroit Lions
Eddie Goldman – DT Florida State
Lions are losing Ndamukong Suh and possibly Nick Fairley as well so they need an impressive force in the middle to somewhat replace the production they are going to lose.
24. Arizona Cardinals
Jordan Phillips – NT Oklahoma
The Cardinals have to fill the hole of Darnell Dockett and Jordan Phillips is a man up front that can cause havoc at the point of attack.
25. Carolina Panthers
T.J. Clemmings – OT Pittsburgh
Cam Newton was beat up all season and protecting him is the first, second, and third priority for the Panthers!
26. Baltimore Ravens
Dorial Green-Beckham – WR Mizzou
The Ravens are probably losing Torrey Smith to free agency and they have an aging Steve Smith at WR. DGB gives them a young, tall, athletic, and fast prime target as long as he can stay away from off-field issues.
27. Dallas Cowboys
Eli Harold – OLB Virginia
A very underrated pass rusher for a team that struggled to create pressure last season.
28. Denver Broncos
Benardrick McKinney – ILB Mississippi State
Benardrick is a big, athletic, and physical linebacker that the Broncos are looking for to man the middle.
29. Indianapolis Colts
Arik Armstead – DT Oregon
Capable of occupying multiple blockers and the Colts need to improve their defense to really challenge the top teams in the AFC.
30. Green Bay Packers
Denzel Perryman – ILB Miami
A.J. Hawk is gone and Denzel is an intimidating figure with his lights out hitting ability and a true gamer even though he didn’t run well at the combine.
31. Seattle Seahawks
Todd Gurley – RB Georgia
Gurley would give Seattle a great one two punch with Lynch and could be Lynch’s replacement when Carroll decides he can’t take Marshawn’s antics any longer.
32. New England Patriots
Cameron Erving – C Florida State
Cameron Erving has the ability to play any spot along the line and with that kind of versatility that Belichick loves, the Patriots can’t pass him up at the bottom of the 1st round.
