After five seasons serving as Chiefs offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy has left to take the same job with the Washington Commanders. While many are congratulating Bieniemy and wishing him well in his new role, one former player (Shady McCoy) was not wanting to give Bieniemy his flowers. Shady stated on Fox Sports that Bieniemy did not show him the traits or skills needed to be a good coordinator which sparked responses from many that played under Bieniemy to come to his defense. Shady throws shade on Eric Bieniemy being hired by Washington I wish him WELL but Washington donโt let the chiefs SUCCESS or coaching titles fool yโallโฆ the traits or skills you need to be a good coordinator I havenโt seen or WITNESSED it โฆ pic.twitter.com/Qtaes1irnx— LeSean Shady Mccoy (@CutonDime25) February 21, 2023 Just three days later, two-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes broke his silence on the topic, coming to Bieniemy’s defense which should put Shady’s ridiculous argument to rest once and for all. Patrick Mahomes breaks silence There should be no questions on how great of a man/coach Coach Bienemy is. His leadership has a direct impact on the player/person i am today! 10+ years learning under one of the greatest coaches of all time.. and i cannot wait for him to continue to prove doubters wrong! ๐ช๐ฝ https://t.co/hyCo3Bly9E— Patrick Mahomes II (@PatrickMahomes) February 23, 2023 Facebook Twitter/X Email Post navigation Former President Obama sends classy message to Chiefs after Super Bowl win WATCH: Relive the entire 2022 championship season in 2 minutes
